My name is Vanessa Kirk, I’m a qualified, licensed and insured Permanent Makeup Artist.

I have over 10 years experience within the beauty industry with a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy. I ran my own successful mobile beauty business as well as working in popular salons, I have gained numerous qualifications to keep up with current industry trends, including an in depth Makeup Artistry course with a top London Medical and Aesthetic clinic.

I am passionate about helping people look and feel their best and love seeing the instant increase in confidence my clients get straight after a treatment. In my spare time I’m a keen crafter, making and selling a variety of items for my small craft business. I am constantly challenging myself and learning new things.

I first encountered Permanent Makeup a few years ago when I had my own eyebrows done. After spending years getting frustrated every morning drawing on my eyebrows with pencil after I had zealously over plucked them in my mid teens and then later due to a health condition unevenly lost the tails, I was constantly worrying about my makeup rubbing or washing off and losing an eyebrow throughout the day.

Permanent Makeup has given me a new found confidence and freedom, and also saved me an awful lot of time and frustration.

I instantly wanted to be able to replicate the feeling I had and be able to offer it to my clients. With my beauty and creative background, passion, a keen eye for detail and a steady hand, I knew a career in Permanent Makeup was perfectly suited to me.

I spent a lot of time researching to find the best UK trainer in the industry and after training 1-1 with multi-award winning industry expert, author, founder and head trainer Katy Jobbins at her renowned Permanent Makeup Training Academy I have the knowledge and expertise to carry out permanent makeup treatments to a high standard, tailoring your individual treatments to perfectly suit your skin colour, tone and facial features.

The Pigments I use are a high quality line of Permanent Makeup Pigments like no other.

The pigment range has been designed specifically for cosmetic tattooing, by artists, for artists! The ultra-concentrated, high-quality line of pigments brings together many amazing qualities.

Each of the colours in this line has been specifically designed to be easily matched to and used on all skin and hair tones, without the need for mixing or guesswork.

The Pigment Set has been exclusively developed to keep colour selection simple and straightforward with a range of colours to suit all clients in 7 pre-mixed light-to-dark colours.

COVERS OLD PERMANENT MAKEUP

These pigments are ultra-concentrated, enabling artists to place the target colour over old, faded PMU.

What you see is what you get. Expect a high level of retention after the first treatment with proper technique and aftercare.

PREDICTABLE RESULTS

Stable colour performance for years to come. Your results will not fade to different colours, only lighter versions of the original colour.

The ingredients are a combination of pigments, glycerin, witch hazel, isopropyl alcohol, aqua, rosin, and DMDM hydantoin. Pigments are gamma ray sterilized, vegan and also cruelty-free. All ingredients can be found in the MSDS (just let me know if you require details).

Your Consultation & Your New Look Designs

Devon-Permanent-Makeup-Consultation-with-Vanessa-Kirk

Consultation

A consultation is recommended to everyone at least 12 hours before any treatment.

This will be an informal chat over a cup of tea(or your preferred beverage), it gives me time to get to know you, find out why you would like permanent makeup, what your expectations are, and most importantly what you are looking for in terms of shape and colour.

You will be asked to fill out a short medical questionnaire to ensure it’s safe to carry out a permanent makeup treatment on you.

During the consultation you will have the chance to ask me any questions about what will happen during the treatment to make you feel more at ease for when you next come in.

A patch test will be carried out during the consultation so I can make sure you aren’t allergic to any of the products I will be using. If you live far away then I can post this out to you with instructions on how to to perform it at home.

Once I’ve got a good idea of your ideal style, I will draw on your makeup with a pencil so you can see the shape and how it looks on your face. I will also take pictures, so you can evaluate how you’re going to look against how your face looks at the present time. Once you’re 100% happy with the planned shape, colour and density, we’ll book you in for your first treatment session.

Procedure & Anti-Allergy Patch Test

Procedure

The treatment takes 2 sessions to complete, approximately 6 weeks apart.

After the first session your permanent make up will be slightly darker and bolder for a few days, but it will soften approximately 10%-50%, depending on treatment area, for a very natural finish.

At the second appointment we will tweak any areas, thicken or adjust colour as desired to completely perfect your permanent makeup.

Patch Test

All of the pigments I use are hypoallergenic, but I carry out a simple patch test during the consultation just to ensure the treatment is as safe as possible for you.

If you are travelling long distance I can always send you one in the post with instructions on how to perform this at home.

Patch tests need to be carried out at least 12hours before any treatment commences.

Providing you have no reaction after 12 hours, I will then book you in for the treatment.
